  1. Thank you so very much for steering me to your blog! Fascinating information, articles and quite taken with your very exciting story SOS United States! At first thought available as book but alas a screen play! I do hope it becomes a reality Mark!
I feel ashamed we’ve been FB Friends thanks to Jeffrey Vance but I hadn’t realized how amazing your work and person are..by chance seeing you on the Cunard page tonight I was/am interested in your ocean liner interest..I remember as a boy reading the newspaper about the sinking of the Andrea Doria and watching it on tv not to mention the Revell models I painted of the SS United States growing up and going aboard at Pier 86 in NY when one was able to visit the ships all for a .25 cent donation to the Merchant Seaman charity..
I look forward to reading your blog for now on and am so very honored to have made your acquaintance Mark!

    • Thank you Stephen! Glad you enjoyed SOS United States. We’re working hard to make it a reality. What a small world with our mutual friend Jeffrey. He’s great. I met him when I was living in Los Angeles. My interest in ocean liners started in the 1970s when I joined the Titanic Historical Society. Their commutator newsletter was great! I have a stack of them in the attic…somewhere! Ahhh…the Andrea Doria. There was a beautiful Italian ocean liner. Going to Pier 86…what great memories. Let’s hope some sort of plan comes together to save the SS United States! Thanks again for reading. I look forward to staying in touch!
