Opening Credits
On August 24, 2012 principal photography will begin on the feature film Justice Is Mind. To say I am enormously thankful to the cast, crew and location partners that are making this film possible would be an understatement. Your belief in me, this project and the Justice Is Mind story means more than I can tell any of you.
Let there be no mistake, film production is a production in and of itself. It’s all about scaling up quickly and operating as if you’ve been in business for years. What makes this type of process work are the dedicated actors and crew. It’s a business model they’re used to, understand and enjoy. It’s the business we live for—to make motion pictures. In so many ways I wonder if this is what it was like in the early days of film. There’s no question that when a project comes together like this we are all “united artists.”
I haven’t posted in over month, not because I don’t have anything to say (I always have something to say!). At this stage of the production time is a commodity all its own. Regarding time, I am reminded of one of my favorite science fiction movies, When Worlds Collide,
and a banner that hung in their operations center before they had to leave planet Earth – Waste anything except TIME. Time is our shortest material.
And while we truly waste nothing on a low-budget feature film, it’s time for me to return to the production matters at hand. I hope you enjoy the stills from our recent rehearsal, along with pictures of some of our locations and behind the scenes photos.
